After my experiences as an educator in different parts of the world, I saw the importance of creating a community-based approach to promote and improve literacy. As the executive director of TRP, I lead the design and development of all of our signature programs and educational resources. I've also led the organization from being a trusted project in 2012 to becoming a standalone charity that collaborates with schools, community organizations, and sector partners – including EarlyON Centres and the Toronto Public Library – to reduce learning barriers. The result? Thousands of children who leave our programs, more capable and empowered to read and lead confidently.
