Coordinates grant operations and functions of the Youth Suicide Prevention and Awareness Program in cooperation with all staff and strategic partners in an adequate and timely manner, as indicated by completion of grant requirements and compliance with grant deadlines.Manages grant record-keeping, correspondence, and reporting in accordance with grant regulations and Alabama state law to ensure that program requirements are met.Acts as liaison between ADPH and all cooperating agencies and crisis centers to coordinate services, education, activities, and information dissemination.Works with ADPH Health Promotion staff and program partners to conduct grant-related outreach, education, and awareness activities in accordance with the program work plan.Maintains all program-related websites and pages to ensure that all information is current and accurate, and utilizes other social media outlets as appropriate for dissemination of information to the public.Assists Injury Prevention Branch Director in writing grant applications and completing progress reports to maintain current cooperative agreement program funding.

• Perform routine compliance inspections of facilities including but not limited to the following: retail, wholesale, mobile and non-profit food establishments and vendors; private and public schools; private, public, institutional child-care facilities; hotels, motels, and communal living facilities.• Document and issue notices of corrective action and ensure future adherence through periodic follow up visits.• Conduct investigations related to food-borne illness or environmentally acquired disease referred by the epidemiology department. • Investigate complaints of health safety violations. • Respond to walk-in and telephone complaints and requests for information on regulations and procedures.• Prepare reports and recommendations for all inspections; maintain records on all inspection sites; update files and continuously monitor sites for health safety compliance and remediation. • Provide and explain educational materials, regulations, policies, and other compliance information to permit holders and the general public.• Conduct educational presentations on food-safety and other regulated topics. • Perform related duties and responsibilities as required.
