I am a skilled and motivated Accounting and Finance and International Relations student looking for a suitable job after I graduate in 2024.While currently in my studies, I also have a part time job in the retail sector which has taught me the importance of managing my time correctly as well as giving me other skills such as communication and teamwork. With learning two very different subjects at one time I have been exposed to two different sides to what the real world looks like. Accounting and Finance has given me the skills to put together a set of financial accounts comfortably, as well as showing how to analyse these numbers and apply them to real world situations that can have a huge impact of people’s lives both inside and outside a business.However, International Relations has shown me that the complex relationships between countries can often be explained through theories, and how to use these theories to be able to mitigate the risk of future conflicts occurring. As briefly mentioned before, since starting work at age 16 I have had two jobs in the retail sector. This has led me to improve my confidence and ability to speak to people and to be able to lead a team of people to completing the task on hand. It gives an insight into how different accounting decisions can affect a business as well, and with experiencing this first hand I have a strong belief that I can transfer this to the world of work.
