As a Utilization Management Specialist at Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) for over 16 years, I apply my registered nursing (RN) credentials and skills in data analysis and auditing to ensure the quality and efficiency of patient care. I collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to review and evaluate medical records, claims, and reimbursements, and to identify and resolve any discrepancies or issues. I also support the development and implementation of policies and procedures for utilization management, and provide education and training to staff and stakeholders. I am passionate about improving the health outcomes and experiences of patients and their families, and contributing to the mission and vision of VUMC, one of the leading academic medical centers in the nation.
