Assisting the Maine Space Grant Consortium in legislative advocacy with the Space Port Complex bill.

The NPU (Nineveh Plains Protection Unit) is a new military unit in the country of Iraq. I consulted for the NPU leadership by developing two training programs, that would be their first ever. The first program I ran was a pilot course. It was a gentleman's course, designed to test their mental, physical, organizational, communal and spiritual aptitude. The pilot course consisted of no more than 45 soldiers. The unit's next course, their first official basic training course, was planned from extrapolated data from the pilot course. The more than four hundred men that graduated that course became Iraq's largest Assyrian unit. They work side by side daily with elements of the Kurdish Regional Government and the Iraqi Government. They we're involved with the securing of towns going south from Al-Qosh towards Mosul. All work was completed on a volunteer basis with no more than seven others involved with the project.

Part of a "lean" and agile 3 man IT team that courageously oversees the IT of 500 employees that interact with hundreds of different types of systems and software, I wish I was joking. We have hundreds of endpoints ranging from tough tablets, iPads, iPhones, laptops, gilbarco/verifone point of sale systems, thin clients and desktops. We also run two ESXi clusters with an aggregate of over 50 virtual machines that can be anything from Windows Server 2016 to Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.0 which could be web servers, database servers, active directory, ftp servers, LMS servers, building/gate access servers, kardlock servers, and so much more.We do most of our own networking, all of our own system administration, system engineering, helpdesk, service desk, web development, legacy application support, cybersecurity and learning management systems.On any given day you could help a user find a file they made to spinning up a virtual machine to slap together some open source software deployment to suit a particular business need. No two days are the same.

Senate chamber staff are employed through the legislative post office and the office of the sergeant at arms under the office of the senate secretary. Chamber staff are responsible for monitoring the quorum in the chamber ensuring that all, from legislators to guests, mind the rules of the senate. In addition to ensuring compliance with parliamentary law, the chamber staff also handles all communications between legislators internally amongst each other and externally with lobbyists, special interest groups, constituents and any other party while the legislation is called to quorum.

I also focused my time developing them as people, it's important to have the right ethics when going to war. I'm very happy to have trained and lead such great men, I am also humbled by the leaders who came before me.
