I choose to embrace it! I've been blessed to have learned from many personal and professional mentors, being taught to think outside the box, while carefully considering how a decision to make a change could impact every stakeholder in the process. I am an entrepreneur at heart and solving problems is what I do best. We must choose to innovate in whatever we do, whether it be selling widgets or providing professional services. Chief Problem Solver seems to be the most appropriate title for me, as that's what I best!On a personal level I believe building relationships based on trust are key. I have a natural ability to "work a room" - some would call it being a social butterfly, I prefer it to be referred to as being socially confident! I enjoy the process of truly getting to know someone, whether that leads to a business transaction or not. In the end, if someone feels like they can't trust you, how likely are they do business with you anyway? Something I heard recently: "You become the average of the 10 people you spend the most time around." Today and each day going forward, I am choosing those 10 people more carefully than ever before and seeking to spend time with those whom I admire because of the people they are, not how much money they've made or how socially popular they might be. I have 3 kids that I adore and a wife that allowed me to "marry up" and is my best friend. I enjoy playing golf, attending sporting events and listening to country music - loudly! Life is too short to not be my true self!!
