Division of Mental Health Data Science in the Department of Psychiatry at the New York State Psychiatric Institute, Columbia University Irving Medical Center. Involved in planning and performing statistical analyses independently and collaboratively in a team environment, as well as assisting in grant proposals, manuscript reviews, poster abstract submissions and presentations. Responsibilities: - Perform statistical analyses, including longitudinal mixed effects modeling, logistic/linear regression, survival analysis, latent variable modeling, and structural equation modeling, for substance abuse clinical trials and various psychiatric clinical research studies.- Write statistical sections including sample size, randomization and power analysis for grant applications and manuscript submissions.- Provide expert consultation across an interdisciplinary team of psychiatric researchers, clinicians, and data scientists on study planning and understanding results. - Develop innovative statistical methodologies and tools/strategies relevant for the Department of Psychiatry, RFMH, and NYSPI research. Skills- ability to program, document, and validate statistical code in R and SAS (including SQL and Macros) to execute data handling tasks, perform complex statistical data analyses of large data, survey data, observational and randomized trials, and produce graphical visualizations.- strong analytical communication, critical thinking, and problem solving skills to ensure the highest of clinical research standards and reproducibility of results.- sample size estimation, power analyses, and strong publication record

- Direct, perform, and manage statistical analyses for three different government funded research projects on primary malignant brain tumors, subarachnoid hemorrhages, and ovarian cancer.- Advise, assist, and teach graduate students, staff, and faculty steps in statistical analyses from database management and development, exploratory data analysis, to primary data analysis.- Conduct advanced and novel semiparametric group-based modeling analyses with longitudinal data- Review statistical literature for new techniques and approaches in health science research methodology
