I've always known I wanted to help people.One of the biggest disappointments of my childhood was learning that "superhero" wasn't a "real" job. But that dream of making a difference in people's lives didn't vanish with adulthood; rather, it became more clearly defined. I've learned that my primary personal and professional motivation is knowing that, no matter what I do, I'm making a difference. Whether it's teaching life skills to a child with a cognitive disability, helping a single mom find her dream job, or providing a refund for a customer who's had a bad experience, nothing makes me happier than putting a smile on someone's face. I think there's nothing more rewarding than turning a hard day into a great one.I'm a bit of a "Jill of all trades" because I'm curious and obsessed with learning. As a teenager, I taught myself how to write HTML. When something broke, I learned how to fix it: the ignition in a car, a website with a tricky line of code, a faulty hot water heater or sink, or a set of harmful behaviors in need of correcting. I firmly believe that there is no problem that cannot be solved through education and effort. I am constantly on the lookout for new opportunities, new experiences, and new things to learn.My background is a diverse one, and my skill set is broad. I work well as part of a team, excel when working independently, and am comfortable stepping into a leadership role if needed. I'm confident in my ability to perform, but also able to recognize there's always so much more I can learn and do. I'm goal-oriented, but flexible; I recognize that success is dependent on our ability to adapt. Ultimately, I'm always interested in exploring ways to make a positive and meaningful difference.
