About Leah Granger

I thrive on sparking transformative "aha moments" that drive progress and innovation. My passion lies in harnessing knowledge and information to empower individuals and serve the greater good. Whether developing information systems, facilitating workshops, or advising clients - these moments of deeper insight fuel my work.Skilled in both strategic planning and detailed analysis, I often employ a systems framework to guide the work. Collaborative environments are where I thrive, especially when diverse teams come together to tackle complex problems. At the San Francisco City Attorney's office, I modernized legal resources, implemented a robust training program, facilitated team and project launches, and led initiatives to enhance legal problem-solving for municipal government challenges. On the Carbon Almanac project, I worked with a global team of over 300 contributors to produce a critical climate change resource. The book, featuring diverse media, presents essential data on carbon's impact across various sectors. I ensured source reliability, developed the Resources Section, and contributed original content. The Carbon Almanac, published by Penguin Random House, supports climate change mitigation efforts. Get involved at https://thecarbonalmanac.org.As an editor for Foreign Law Guide. I collaborated with a global team of legal librarians to transform an analog publication into a nimble online database. My role involved correcting biases, designing the content management system and the user interface, and I was personally responsible for modernizing the subject index. I leveraged my teaching experience in writing the “how to” and style guides, training the country editors, managing the update process, and preparing for publication. I seek opportunities to be a catalyst for change, leveraging my expertise in legal analysis, theory of learning, and information systems to solve complex problems innovatively. Building empathetic and respectful relationships is central to my approach. Reach out if you'd like to discuss education, tech, or organizational systems!
