As head of the HR Consulting team, I manage a team of certified HR experts at both the manager and senior individual levels. I plan and execute our team budget and surface opportunity for team members to further their HR expertise education and instruction. As one of the functional leads for the Customer Success organization, I strategize with other functional leads and stakeholders to enhance customer experience and illuminate the voice of the customer across the business. I also provide HR subject matter expertise to compliance stakeholders in order to strengthen internal processes, support product initiatives, and deliver help content to internal and external customers.

I served as a manager and then interim head of the HR Consulting team, managing a team of certified HR experts at both the manager and individual levels. I coach and collaborate with team members on HR best practices and consulting strategies as they liaise directly with customers and produce related internal and external content. As a team leader, I strategize with other functional leads to maximize customer experience and efficiency. I also provide subject matter expertise to compliance stakeholders across the business to bolster internal processes and finesse content and other copy.

I provided HR best practices guidance directly to customers as a subject matter expert in employment law, L&D, organizational effectiveness, DEI, employee relations, HR strategy, and talent management. I collaborated with compliance, marketing, and product teams to develop people management tools and content, with an aim towards simplifying the overall experience of SMB ownership.

I served as people operations advisor for all teams (~300 employees) across the business, including traditional publishing, advertising, digital publishing and products, and business operations. I owned benefits management, onboarding and other HRIS processes, and partnered on employee relations, recruiting, and performance management responsibilities. During my time in this role, I covered responsibilities for both our Senior Recruiter and HR Director during their respective parental leaves. Additionally, I managed documentation, message delivery, and HR processes during the sales of two publications to external buyers, including subsequent RIFs.

I served as the first-line HR representative for 300+ employees across 20+ states, owning all employee change, HRIS, and benefits processes across the business. I participated in the selection process for a new payroll & HRIS vendor and in the annual health insurance renewal process, and managed associated data migrations. I took on and improved compliance (SOX-related as well as multi-state employment law) processes during the growth events of opening of a new office in the Dallas metro area, expansion of our New York office, and acquisitions of multiple properties. I handled employee relations for our New York office and satellite property offices and assisted with compensation and succession planning initiatives. I was also cross-trained as a back-up payroll administrator.

I assisted with event pre-planning administration and day-of execution. Event clients span various high-profile institutions, including charitable foundations, corporations, museums, and other cultural institutions, located in New York and beyond.

I audited and maintained personnel records and executed HRIS changes for retail employees across the US & Puerto Rico.
