I teach and conduct research primarily in the area of Robotics, Control Systems, Additive Manufacturing and Computer Networks at IIT Kharagpur.I teach various subjects in Computer based integration in Design, Manufacturing, Automation as well as in Robotics, Intelligent Systems, Process Control etc.In my research I have been involved with various developments in Robotics - and Industrial Robot Prototype by name KGP-50, a prototype testbed AUV-1, several student AUVs (http://ikat.iitkgp.ernet.in), a Humanoid Robot (http://vlabs.iitkgp.ernet.in/Humanoid). I also mentor students in innovative developments in Formula Student, Electric Vehicle etc. in areas of motion control.In area of Networks I worked with leading Cellular operators on Next generation wireless internet (Vodafone Centre of excellence in Telecommunications at IIT Kharagpur) after having done some work on the Internet Applications in early 90s and subsequently in ATM and QoS Networks for real-time applications.My professional goal is to inculcate and develop the innovative skills of the next generation bright students of IIT Kharagpur and other colleges in India to shape them to take up new product development careers and excel in them.
