Currently, I am working as a software developer at Innovadis on a socially relevant domain, namely the 'schuldhulpverlening (SHV)' (debt assistance and counseling) offered by municipalities to those in need. Not only can I practise my technical skills (in C#, testing and various programming paradigms), but also my soft skills (writing user stories, thinking of test cases and giving demo presentations) and my language skills (Dutch as language number Five). On top of all that, helping in this domain allows me to make a positive impact to society. Our aim is to reduce the administrative overhead of the SHV organizations' employees, such that they can focus on what is truly important: providing the attention and care to the people that come to them for help. Being a graduate in Computer Science (and Applied Mathematics), my other areas of interest include digital communication systems and cybersecurity. During my master in Internet Science and Technology, I could delve into many challenges surrounding the Internet, the core of our digital society, and its challenges but also its opportunities remain fascinating to this day.
