I’m committed to improving the world by turning ideas into action. After 40 years in the political process in Florida, I am looking to bring my diverse talents to the nonprofit sector. I am a team player with a strong desire to "be the change I want to see." I have 40 years' experience and expertise in the federal, state, and local legislative processes as well as the executive rulemaking procedures. For the past 22 years I have advocated on behalf of Florida's 411 municipalities on a wide range of issues including, environmental, transportation, growth, land use, tax policy, and a host of other issues impacting municipalities. I have 20+ years' experience in association management, including governance; fundraising; membership and board relations; event planning; budgeting; building, maintaining, and engaging grassroots organizations; and public/media relations. I am hard working, self-motivated, effective at building and maintaining relationships with diverse stakeholders, and am an excellent writer and public speaker. I have strong research and analytical skills as well as the ability to multitask in high pressure situations.
