I worked on three service learning projects throughout my final year at UGA. In these, I worked in changing teams to partner with local and non-local businesses as a part of our course work to provide some form of value to them. With American TeleCenters, we created process flow diagrams to find any bottlenecks in their systems and discover ways to streamline the process. With Robley Rex, we found patterns in patient data to detect patients at risk of leaving against medical advice, and we later created a user guide for the Pyramid Analytics software. With our final project, we are creating an application for creating, submitting, reviewing, and finalizing information access requests for the Athena system at UGA.

Louisville, Kentucky

I worked with the Strategic Analytics for Improvement and Learning (SAIL) department to use a variety of software (SQL, JAVA, Pyramid Analytics) to locate and interpret key patient and hospital performance data. During my time there, I attended executive meetings, taught courses on using Pyramid, and put together reports requested by different departments.

Dublin, Georgia

I scanned, labeled, and filed blueprints of past projects at the hospital into a new system to improve record keeping and understanding. At the same time, I studied under a senior staff member to learn how different divisions worked together and were affected by technological changes, such as the implementation of solar panels and new operating systems.
