I have been a writer since childhood and I love researching a variety of topics, learning new things, and sharing what I have learned. Fans of my editing will attest to my ability of transforming their words into easy flowing, grammatically correct content, as well as my knack for catching continuity issues. My love of photography opens a window into the beauty of the world as I see it; and the name of business, Carolyn's Vision, is a play on my desire to share the beauty of our world through my eyes. I chose to pursue a certification in web design because I see it as an opportunity to incorporate so many of the creative activities I love; so I'm not left with having to choose just one. I have accumulated an abundance of skills over the years through experience and both formal and informal education. My skills include and are not limited to writing, editing, html and css coding, desktop publishing, customer service, real estate contract negotiations, business networking, and social media marketing/networking. I also have some experience with javascript and jQuery and I have a firm grasp on the concepts of basic computer programming which will help me to learn any other programming languages. I am familiar with most of the Microsoft Office products. I am also familiar with most of the Adobe Creative Suite products, especially Lightroom, Illustrator, Photoshop, Flash, Dreamweaver, and Muse. I’ve also had some experience with Edge, Audition, and Media Encoder.The ideal position for me will be one which allows me to utilize all of the skills I have acquired while providing an opportunity for me to continue learning. My favorite position would be one in which I am writing content, editing content, doing a little bit of coding and design work, using some of my own photography and brainstorming with others. While these portfolios include some still life images, and cityscapes, my specialty is nature and dogs at play. I have also shot one outdoor wedding but my intention is to gather more event photography skills, higher end lenses, and lighting equipment before offering wedding photography as a service. Meanwhile, I offer action images of dogs and horses for avid pet/animal lovers. I would also be happy to work as an assistant with a seasoned photographer, or with local magazine and newspaper publishers.
