We provide consulting services on technology for people with disabilities. Primarily, we work in the areas of:• accessible websites• user testing for products and services for accessibility features• consulting on job accommodations (particularly computer access) for employees with disabilities.We also work directly with people with disabilities, providing assistive technology so children with disabilities can succeed in school, adults with disabilities can find (and keep) jobs, and all people can stay connected and have access to information.We provide online training and resources via the AT Coalition (http:atcoalition.org) And we do advocacy work on behalf of people with disabilities in California at the California Public Utilities Commission. CforAT supports use of technology to promote independent living for people with disabilities, providing information via an online resource, and engaging in advocacy work to support policies that expand access to technology for people with disabilities, including the many people with disabilities who are low-income.Specialties: We are a unique combination - we have hands on experience working with people with disabilities, and the technology skills to provide consulting services that are based on our expertise with clients. Our Test Bank of Users with Disabilities can test products and websites for accessibility, and our staff have a wide background in working with people with disabilities. Our organization is run by people with disabilities: a majority of our Board and our Directors are people with disabilities.
