• Gained a strong understanding of economic drivers and needs of small businesses as coordinator of a non-profit that supports over 150 small and medium-sized businesses• Created and executed the 2017 Marketing Strategy for the Markham Village BIA, and directly manages marketing budget of over $35,000• Identified a need for two distinct summer student roles to support daily business operations, and designed and hired for those roles• Aided in the planning and facilitation of three major community events, each with community attendance of well over 10,000 people• Directly planned and facilitated several smaller community events with attendance of up to 3,000 people

• Consulted with key stakeholders to update, promote and develop training materials to support the City of Markham’s Sustainable Purchasing Guide• Performed the first sustainable purchasing audit as part of larger strategy to further sustainable purchasing practices at the City• Participated in many staff and community engagement projects, including co-leading a staff engagement campaign focused on paper use reduction, outreach at community events, and developing and facilitating a workshop on behalf of the Sustainability Office for Take Your Kid To Work Day at the City• Experienced significant organizational change and exposure to change management strategies through an office move and department merger with the Asset Management Department

- Member of five-person team responsible for all general communications and marketing materials for the department, including social media planning and management, development of training/presentation content, creating various forms of media (ie. videos, websites, info-graphics, photographs, posters, et cetera) to be used to for promotional purposes, often working with short and challenging deadlines- Assisted in extending and delivering social media and personal branding training for over 50 Residence life- Co-developed slide deck to be later used at the 2015 York University Student Leader Mental Health Conference by Vice Provost Students.
