Responsible for the technical systems throughout the organisation, overseeing installation, ensuring back-up systems operate effectively, procuring hardware and software, providing the IT technology infrastructure and contributing to business policy regarding quality standards and strategic planning, managing a team of analysts, programmers and support specialists. The Remuneration Panel is made up of three independent members of the public and is responsible for advising the Council on the type and level of allowances paid to councilors. The Council has to take the Panel's recommendations into account when setting councilors allowances.
