a. Consolidation & Finalization of annual accounts of CPRI, Bangalore (HO) and its other six units. b. Handled Income tax cases pending before JCIT, CIT (Appeal), ITATl and CBDT since A.Y. 2001-02 for demand of tax by treating the CPRI as “Other Institution” and won the cases by getting Notification u/s 35(1)(ii) of the Income Tax Act, 1961 dated 07th April, 2016 notifying CPRI as “Scientific Research Association” and saved the tax liability of Rs. 60 crores (up to A.Y. 2012-13) plus tax liability of every year and for that received Meritorious Honour from CPRI Management. j. Handled TDS case for perquisite on house accommodation provided to employees pending before JCIT and CIT (A) from A.Y. 2012-13 onwards. k. Handled three audits namely Internal Audit, Statutory Audit and Ministry of Power Audit. l. Management of Investment Portfolios of Reserves of CPRI.m. Management of Pension and GPF and disbursement of retirement benefits and monthly pension as per central government rules. n. Handled TDS matters of all units & filed Income Tax Return. o.
