Key Responsibilities•Headed the finance function, determining financial objectives, forecasting cash flow, designing & implementing systems, policies and procedures to facilitate internal financial control.•Preparation and finalization of monthly and annual accounts with quarterly Value Added Tax (VAT) Returns filing.•Working capital management including monthly stock takes, cash utilization and liaising with sales team for timely collection of Accounts Receivables.Key Achievements1. Cash controls:• Implemented controls whereby daily cash receipts would be reconciled with end of the day physical cash balance as well as balance in the ERP along with ensuring that the same was deposited in bank the next day, thus preventing cash leakage.2. Inventory:• Implemented a system whereby stock movements were tracked in the ERP on a daily basis with the help of Goods Issue Note (GIN) and Goods Receipt Note (GRN). This was reinforced with the help of monthly stock takes.3. Job ticket:• Executed controls which ensured that Job tickets for each new order which was earlier a physical document was now routed through the ERP. Each job ticket would require the approval of management so as to regulate undertaking orders of customers with long overdue balances.• This also helped to close job tickets on regular basis, track job tickets pending to be invoiced at the end of each month and analyzing reasons for the same.• Issue of stock was linked with job ticket to ensure that every outward movement of stock was connected to a job ticket.
