Shift Lead
CurrentIn my shift leader position with GoPuff, opperations support is at the center of what I do. Some of my key responsibilities are managing, monitoring and training staff, and looking for process improvement opportunities. Here's a more comprehensive list of my duties: - Assists upper management with implementing branch operations and logistics to meet key performance indicators set by company's operational gameplan - Serves as the manager on duty, handling customer and employee problems in the absence of the general manager - Answers calls outside of work hours, acts as the ‘go-to' person employees call for work questions and help - Completes thorough opening and closing procedures and shift change functions to maintain operational standards - Seeks out process improvements such as operations and shipment adjustments, making recommendations to district management, and organizing the warehouse to maximize workflow efficiency and employee safety - Provides constructive feedback and mentoring to newly hired employees on job tasks, safety measures, and company policies and procedures - Organizes and coordinates staff for inventory receiving, auditing and restocking - Delegating assignments and supervising employees for task completion - Reviews invoice, investigates and resolves inventory discrepancies, and completes incident reports to keep system accurate and current. Reports these incidents to branch supervisor - Communicates with and effectively resolves issues and customer complaints - Picking, packing and labeling customer orders for shipping - Moves product with pallet jacks and other warehousing equipment - Keeps shelves, workstations and pallet areas neat and organized to maintain safe work environment.
