Its remit is one of strategic co-ordination and it contributes to the wider goals of improving the well-being of adults. The Chair's main purpose is to:1. Ensure that the HSAB effectively fulfils its functions as set out in The Care Act 2014 and arising statutory or legal requirement2. As Chair of the Governors , I led the Governing Body meetings, attended and visited the school regualarly and presented at school events as appropriate. Main role was to guide and ensure there was a clear strategic development plan developed for the school, that an annual Governors plan was in place in order to monitor and review that the appropriate systems of controls and assurance were in place. enabled the full GB to be sure that the School had a clear strategic direction, is financially sustainable and that the best quality of education, life skills and preparedness for work was delivered for the benefit of students. Personally also provided support to the Head teacher and other members of the Senior Leadership Team.
