Development of forest projects for social income generation and carbon credits, forest regulatory monitoring, evaluation of activities and goals for carbon sequestration and physical adaptation of company assets to climate change. Evaluation and planning of initiatives for payments for environmental services. Supervision of the preparation and disclosure of Vale's annual greenhouse gas emissions inventory. Directly responsible for the forest carbon credit project: "Vale Florestar. Reforestation of degraded tropical land in Brazilian Amazon", registered by the UN under Clean Development Mechanism reference number 7258, to generate 10,666 forest carbon credits per year. Support to Vale Florestar Program: focal point for "Forest Stewardship Council" forest certification and support to the development of the Forest Management System.

Coordination of the environmental area of the North Iron Ore Department. Contract management with Instituto Ambiental Vale do Rio Doce for the maintenance of the Zoobotanical Park of Carajás. Operational management of the themes recovery of degraded areas, biodiversity, environmental licensing, vegetal suppression, solid waste, environmental liabilities, water resources, prevention and combat of forest fires. Vale Florestar Program: Participation in the implementation team of the project for planting industrial forest species for charcoal production, in the State of Pará. Responsible for the first leases of rural properties and environmental licensing. Conduction of institutional negotiations with the Pará state government, hiring and team management. Follow-up of technical and economic feasibility studies, management of research contracts for genetic material of forest species, management of degraded area recovery projects and follow-up of impacting regulatory trends. Biovale Project: Support for implementing the agricultural base of the palm oil production project, in the State of Pará, incorporating Biopalma. Realization of land due diligence for acquisition of the first properties for implementation of the nursery and planting areas. Directly responsible for the purchase and importation of seeds produced in Costa Rica for the implementation of the nursery.

Responsible for establishing a branch of the Instituto Ambiental Vale do Rio Doce (IAVRD) in Carajás, with activities focused on preparing forest inventories and degraded area recovery projects for operational areas in the region. Appointed by Vale as a full member of the Carajás National Forest Advisory Council.

Hired by the Corporate Environment Department. Directly responsible for planning and implementation of two projects for recovery of degraded areas in paralyzed manganese mines, in Licínio de Almeida, Bahia State.
