After joining Compass Land Resources as an operating partner, I brought tremendous growth to the company by implementing a renewable energy department, with a heavy focus on commercial wind and solar projects. In addition to creating a renewable energy division, I would directly oversee any and all leasing and acquisition projects on behalf of our clients. Under my supervision, Compass Land secured more oil and gas leases, and more wind and solar easements, than any other broker in the state of Oklahoma.

While working nearly 20 years at Schonwald Land, Inc., I would frequently manage crews of contract landmen, both in the field and from our home office. As a senior project manager, I would implement a workflow plan for the contractors to execute, and oversee that process, to insure timely completion. In addition to leading teams of contractors in a competitive and time-sensitive environment, I would be tasked with a continuous evaluation of the level of contractor involvement needed. Although the ultimate goal was always to achieve set goals, I would constantly evaluate our contractor levels to insure that our client's expectations would be reached in a timely manner, and with appropriate staffing. I was expected to manage multiple teams, on concurrent projects if needed, It was a difficult decision to leave Schonwald Land to become an operating partner at Compass Land Resources, however the challenge of running my own company has been a rewarding experience.
