About Joost Ligthart
I have studied geography and history in Amsterdam.I have teached geography for two years on a school in Amsterdam.When I was studying, I worked in a supermarket where I learned a lot af the tricks of that trade. I took over the shop of my granddad which was one of the pioneers of organic and reformfoods in the netherlands. My goal is to create a organic shop with the best nature can offer. And only the best is good enough!From october 15 2012 we have split into two stores: Organic foodstore on Terweeweg 82 and Naturopathic and wellnessstore at Terweeweg 84 . On 01-01-2014, I have sold the organic food shop and am now fully concentrating on my naturopathic shop.Specialties: Orthomoleculair products from Solgar, Viridian and Vitals, colloidial minerals from the Health factory and natural cosmetics from Dr. Hauschka, Weleda, Tisserand and Neals Yard. We also do sell a collection of soundbowls.I am also a keen gardener en photographer. I try do my gardening as organic as possible. i also try out plants/trees that are more tolerant to our changing climate.I would love to live and work in Scotland and i hope that things will change for the best to realise that dream in the next couple of years. I am open for job offers in Scotland regarding organic retail, supplements, organic gardening and photography.

I took over the shop of my granddad who started this shop in 1936!One of the few reformhuizen left in the Netherlands.we only sell High quality and ethical responsible products. Good service and advising is the heart of our company. Core brands are Solgar, Vitals, dr. Hauschka and WeledaWe are a specialist retailer in British produce like Viridian, Tisserand and Neal's Yard but also we import the high end herbs and spices of Steenbergs from Melmerby in Yorkshire.From 01-01-2014, I have sold our food department and it is now operating as a indepent organic health food store opposite my shop. I am now fully concentrating on my core business and am still learning new things every day. I am now concentrating on giving nutritional solutions to all kind of situations.

Also off location.We also sell Soundbowls, Ocean drums and other meditional instruments.Recently, I added a celtic harp in my soundmeditationsessions, a wonderfull instrument with enchanting vibrations. Sound mediations are done by me on a regular bases but also on special request.
