At [redacted], we've adopted a new term we call "outcome owners". This person is responsible for the team's output and success. As the outcome owner of Platform Engineering, I report directly to the CEO. Outcome owners are given all the responsibility and latitude to do whatever it takes to ensure the team's success.The Platform team at [redacted] is responsible for the services that are central to all other engineering teams. We maintain and build highly scalable APIs that service multiple TV apps, mobile clients, and web clients. We also maintain services that power the following areas of the company: live chat, users, auth, payments, and content creator analytics. My job in all of this is to ensure the engineering teams have everything they need to be successful.

Built entire production infrastructure from scratch in AWS. Built the network using AWS VPC. Set up load balancers for web applications. Designed a pipeline to take code from git to production server automatically using AWS CodeBuild, CodePipeline and CloudFormation. Built out permissions and roles in AWS IAM. Set up monitoring and auto scaling for web applications.Personally met with universities to understand needs and remove roadblocks on Kuali products.Provided technical trainings for conferences and institutions.Wrote and maintained software suite for higher education institutions to manage curriculum. Used React, redux, apollo, and jest for front end. Built the backend using Node.js with express.js. Stored data in Elasticsearch for wicked fast searching and MongoDB for persistence.

Developed both front end and back end applications using Angular, Node.JS, and Django.
