As a Public Health Advisor on the Surveillance and Epidemiology Unit, I focused on mitigating the impact of community outbreak within facilities, specifically in schools/day cares. I worked efficiently to contact facilities who had persons diagnosed with, or exposed to, COVID-19 in a timely manner. I led case and contact investigations to detect and prevent intra-facility transmission of COVID-19.

As a Public Health Advisor with the NYC Test & Trace Corps, our mission was to support New Yorkers who tested positive for COVID-19 and identify their close contacts to help prevent the spread of the virus. This position was multi-faceted as we took on many different roles to best support fellow New Yorkers. As of late 2020, we had reached 91% of positive COVID-19 cases weekly.
