Hello, my name is Caden Swanson, and I’m an undergraduate at Kansas State University, pursuing a Computer Science degree with a minor in Leadership Studies, graduating in 2026. I’m passionate about technology and software development and thrive on collaboration and building meaningful connections.When it comes to development, I’m most comfortable working with C#, and I’ve also gained solid experience in Python, Java, and C. I have a good deal of hands-on practice with Windows Forms, XAML, and frameworks that share similar structures with CSS. My technical skills don’t just stop at languages; I’ve also explored the world of software interfaces, designing smooth, user-friendly applications.Beyond coursework, I’ve been deeply involved in on-campus organizations that have shaped my professional and leadership skills. As the Vice President of External Campaigns for the Kansas State Student Foundation, I played a key role in managing a 50+ member organization. Working closely with our executive team, I helped plan and execute the largest student-run philanthropy on campus. This involved coordinating efforts with various campus liaisons to organize tabling events. Finally, as a member, I actively promoted philanthropy across campus, ensuring the organization's message was well-represented.In addition to the Student Foundation, I’ve held multiple leadership roles in Acacia Fraternity. As Executive Recruitment Chair, I was responsible for leading recruitment efforts to bring in new members, while also collaborating with the executive team to make crucial decisions for the fraternity. As the Executive Vice President of External Affairs, I organized events with other organizations on campus, building partnerships and overseeing the delegation of tasks within my committee.Finally, as a Class Leader for the Staley School of Leadership, I facilitated meaningful discussions on leadership development with smaller groups of students, fostering a welcoming "learning community." In addition to leading discussions, I handled essential administrative tasks like roll, grading, and class organization, blending leadership with hands-on teaching responsibilities.I'm excited to bring my abilities and passion to the table, and to continue to learn and grow professionally!
