At Progressive Design Inc. (PDI), I met many people within the company who introduced me to the certain disciplines of engineering they dealt with, and I visited sites that PDI provided their services to. In addition, I updated design drawings within the electrical department using AutoCAD. The introductions to many individuals within the company forged my understanding of the roles within an engineering consulting company. My site visits allowed me to visualize how engineering designs are implemented into the field. For example, the relationship between construction and engineering, and how they communicate. Not to mention, I gained invaluable experience working with AutoCAD by updating certain electrical drawings.
