Completed two six-week long projects during my internship at Transamerica.Database portion:- Under the guidance of David Alexander, Director of Data Operations and Engineering, developed Python scripts to automate database tasks.- Built scripts to analyze database capacity and other metrics for client databases.- Implemented automated jobs within the database system to store metrics in a residual table.- Designed scripts to send notifications if the database capacity fell below 10%.LLM Actuarial portion:- Collaborated with Dardana Zguri, Senior Manager of Software Engineering, and Krishna Subramanian, Manager of Information Technology and Development, to develop a Large Language Model(LLM) front and backend system utilizing AWS architecture.- Developed the interface using JavaScript for enhanced user experience.- Initially designed the backend in Python, later optimizing it by implementing AWS Lambda functions for improved scalability and efficiency.- Leveraged various AWS services such as EC2, Lambda, Sagemaker, and S3 to facilitate the pulling and secure storage of internal documents within the system.
