Worked on a team of four to develop a mesh communication network using LoRa. The target group for this project was remote hikers that would like to carry an additional emergency device in the event of an accident. Project used GPS data along with a digital compass to determine the distance and direction to other devices on the network. My specific role in the project, along with being the team captain, was hardware peripherals where I was responsible for interfacing with the hardware, designing the PCB, and designing the enclosure.

Began by wiring and assembling web converting machines for the company. As I became more familiar with the hardware and how the systems ran, I moved to doing testing and debugging at the initial start up for the machines. This involved fixing issues with the UI and locating mistakes on the electrical and mechanical aspects of the machine.

Developed code to analyze data from a Continuously Variable Transmission using a dynamometer. Assisted in redesigning and updating the dynamometer.

Turtle Lake, Wi, Us

Troubleshot and repaired Stratasys 3D printer, then used the 3D printers to help optimize the production rate. Designed and prototyped various furniture components using CAD.

Worked with a team of students to develop a Mars Rover for the Imagination Station at a children’s museum . Brainstormed tools/components that would be used for the interactive mission. Used SolidWorks to design a robotic arm for the rover.

Worked with a 3-person team to do general construction (planning, measuring, building, wiring etc.) from the ground up. This included building sheds, cabins, decks and home additions.

Worked as part of a construction team to help form and pour a concrete foundation for an expansion at a local hospital.

Helped as needed during the summers of 2016 and 2017 with general maintenance around the fly-in fishing lodge property. This included: cleaning and stocking boats for customers, sanding, mowing/trimming, moving barrels, burning garbage, staining buildings and decks etc.
