ViZn is a small company in Montana that has been doing research and development of a hybrid flow battery for the better part of 15 years. My role as Engineering Services Manager is loosely defined at ViZn, which has required a myriad of skills and flexibility to cope with a resource limited operations team. Responsible for evaluation of engineering designs, manufacturing floor support, tooling design and development, traveler documentation development, and disposition of manufacturing anomalies. Research and testing of parts and assemblies that have known issues with solder attachment, or component specific defects.Create and develop ESD safe tooling for specific custom applications. Operate machine shop equipment regularly, protoyping and developing tools, or modifying non-flight hardware as necessary.
