About Cady Lancaster

Former research faculty at Oregon State University analyzing complex matrices of biological samples using ambient ionization and hyperspectral imaging. I am particularly interested in how complementary methods of analysis can be used in forensic applications.I am Society for Wildlife Forensic Science certified Wildlife Forensic Scientist. I founded the Wood Identification & Screening Center for the USDA Forest Service International Programs. In addition to being a forensic service provider, I also implemented a Quality Management System based on SWFS standards and Guidelines. I developed methods for DART TOFMS identification of wood for forensic and non-forensic analysis of wood products. In addition to wood ID, I analyze market trends in illegal logging to identify significant species needed in reference databases. I partner with institutional wood collections to acquire reference specimens for a robust and complete database on protected and commercially significant tree species.

Listed skills include Nanofabrication, Plasmonics, Mass Spectrometry, Nanomaterials, and 18 others.
