•Developed a novel identification techniques using Direct Analysis in Real Time™ Mass Spectrometry of Dalbergia, Aquilaria, and other trade timber species. This was the first technique to accurately identify endangered species of tree against similar species. •Assisted with the investigation of poached wildlife by characterizing polymers found in plastic-tip bullets using a novel visible spectral comparator techniques with other analytical techniques.

Worked with a team of three scientists on intensive group research projects.
