As an elected Alderman for the City of Yorkville, I am responsible to the residents of Ward 3 and the City as a whole. Planning the financial and economic future of the City are critical decisions being made regularly. Using my communications skills and negotiation abilities, I can navigate though complex situations and issues between residents, developers and city staff. I sit on a variety of appointed boards and committees. Within those committees and boards, most of the work is accomplished for the City through deliberations, discussions and sometimes respectful disagreements. I pride myself in being available to residents and businesses to discuss, at their convenience, anything they wish. During my time on the City Council, I have dealt with the negotiation of Intergovernmental Agreements, facilitated revised annexation/development agreements, ordinance revisions, created and manage the Ribs on the River festival and more. Serving the residents of the United City of Yorkville, giving my time, dealing with the difficult decisions and seeing the City pulling out of a hole and moving in a positive direction is a great joy to me.

The Zoning Board of Appeals commonly referred to as the ZBA is a seven member board of citizens, appointed by the mayor and city council, charged with hearing and deciding variances and appeals from the zoning and sign codes. The board meets on the first Wednesday evening of the month at City Hall, 800 Game Farm Road, to consider any cases that may be presented.

At the Straits Company, I provided mechanical engineering drafting and design services to various clients. Projects ranged from reverse engineering to design and drafting assistance to engineers working for FERMI Lab.

While at Vesco Repro, I produced large format prints on production scale using the latest technologies. The company offered services of large format color and B&W printing, copying and scanning and much more. Vesco was a division of The Straits Company, Inc.
