Over the past 20 years I have lead or worked on an exciting range of construction, program development, and policy projects. I found my calling in green building while constructing commercial green buildings with what was once Canada's favorite outdoor retailer cooperative. After that I had a great opportunity to work with Canada's national green building council to develop a program called LEED Canada for Homes, to improve thousands of new and renovated homes. I helped build a national network of service providers, develop the standard, launch the program and build it to its most successful quarter. Presently I work with the City of Vancouver on better building code and policy to require or encourage deep green buildings, Passive House, CHBA Net Zero, and similar. Lately my work has shifted to making electrification easier and with a lower average cost. I have acted as an owner's representative, project manager, and subject matter expert. I enjoy public speaking and regularly speak on the topic of green building.
