I have been appointed as part of the Sutter Health Protective Services leadership team to set the strategic position for and manage the process of a system-wide integration of new and enhanced security technologies. Additionally, I serve on numerous committees to include Workplace Violence Prevention, Enterprise Asset Management, and Privacy and Information Security. ➟ Built an integrated security program from the ground up to launch a Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) to drastically improve the organization’s security posture; secured a budget of $50M+ from the Board of Directors, CEO, and vice presidents to implement the program. ➟ Established, recruited, and currently lead an integrated security technology team consisting of service line directors, managers, program managers, physical security specialists, system administrators, and security technicians. ➟ Implemented a centralized system administration program to provide automated audits, significantly reduce access clearances (75%), and move from normal business hours to 24/7 support to 60K+ users. ➟ Developed a 5-year technology roadmap and strategy to bring from Program Maturity Level 0 to Program Maturity Level 4. Wrote policies and procedures for enterprise-level physical security programs.

In 2016, I expanded my role into a director-level scope. I designed, managed, and ensured successful and timely commissioning of all security technology in NYU capital facilities projects, encompassing global campuses in 13 countries while leading 3 direct reports and 1 contractor.On behalf of the Department of Public Safety, served as the primary, bidirectional liaison between—and first point of contact with—NYU’s Office of Construction Management for security integration scope in all capital facilities projects. ➟ Created and launched a new program—where none had previously existed—for capital and security projects, which standardized security best practices across the organization and saved ~$750K per year. I developed cost projections, detailed specifications, project budgets, and RFPs necessary to initiate capital projects.➟ Researched, tested, demoed, and implemented new emerging technology to support the Department of Public Safety.➟ Authored Public Safety’s Technical Security Design Standards, Installation Guidelines, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

I first joined New York University (NYU) via a custom-created role to launch a security program, spanning the university’s 200+ buildings, 15M square feet (residential, academic, commercial and entertainment) in New York City as well as campuses located in 13 different countries. I oversaw operations and the upkeep of the university’s campus-wide security system, managed 3 direct reports, and led cross-functional teams of up to 10 staff / freelancers per project.➟ Designed and implemented an enterprise-level video management system for 3K+ cameras with an additional 1K federated from 13 global sites—all feeding to the first-ever 24-hour GSOC at NYU. ➟ Envisioned and championed unified Global Enterprise Video System from initiation to delivery to create 1 depository for NYU Global with full disaster recovery.➟ Served as leading technology liaison for local police and legal organizations (NYPD / District Attorney’s Office) as well as the FBI and other government organizations involved in criminal investigations.

As a project manager, I executed enterprise security systems projects as a Genetec Resource partner for video, access, and LPR systems. I planned and directed new software deployment for enterprise level access and video systems on a national basis.➟ Propelled a multimillion-dollar project with the New York City Housing Authority, which involved deploying a large-scale security system (cameras, access control, intruder detection) to large-scale public housing developments. ➟ Assumed the role of pre- and post-sales engineer and managed all client training efforts, maintained relationships with end users, and coordinated future software version releases and updates.

➟ Managed the entire life cycle of access control and video projects ranging from $50K to $11M in scope and associated man-hours of 6K+.➟ Served as the lead project manager involved in the installation of a card access and video system for the Philadelphia Housing Authority, which encompassed 32 sites across the city with numerous high-rise buildings on each and supported 80K+ card-holding personnel.

➟ Directed complex security projects and associated tasks spanning estimating, design, tracking, start-up, and planning phases for government and US Department of Defense (DoD) projects. ➟ Analyzed project plans to advise on project requirements and feasibility.

➟ Provided support from implementation to completion on Federal Courthouse and Prisoner Transport Security using CCTV, badging stations, access control, duress, mantraps, vehicle control, and entry control packages. Managed project teams of up to 40 team members.➟ Served as senior-level liaison between ADT and US Marshall officials resulting in high levels of customer satisfaction and client relations. Worked directly with the United States Marshalls onsite to provide the best security solutions for each individual site. ➟ Supported the site's field services operation and ensured that it performed in a manner consistent with the U.S. Marshal’s operational guidelines and policies.➟ Trained, assisted, and monitored Field Service Manager activities relating to equipment service, sales support, and customer interaction.
