Responsible for planning, managing, executing and delivering a program of research and development activities designed to bring a new family of radar hydrography products and services to market.

- Researching algorithms and techniques for improving the processing of marine radar data. - Writing software to analyse radar data statistics and integrity. - Applying novel methodologies to radar image data, developed during my PhD to enhance the use of marine radar for surveying nearshore topography and observing changing coastal morphology.

- Worked on a knowledge transfer partnership between NOC and Marlan Maritime Technologies, to transfer and embed scientific knowledge and expertise, enabling commercialization of NOC science. - Responsible for the development and testing of Radar-based coastal survey techniques.

- Worked towards a PhD at the school of environmental sciences at the University of Liverpool whilst working with commercial partner: Marlan Maritime Technologies. - Undertook training on commercialisation of research, intellectual property, businessmanagement.- Spent six months working with industrial partner increasing knowledge of radardata collection, processing and analysis. Built knowledge of mathematics andphysics to allow effective research using marine radar image data.- Attended national and international academic conferences and marine industrytrade shows. Awarded multiple best oral and poster presentations.- Took part in the Environment YES competition, with a team of other PhD studentsto design a hypothetical product and business plan. Won local and regional heats,awarded 2nd place in the final held at Whitehall London.

Part time role while studying for a degree, involved carrying out a uniformed support role for regular Police Officers. It has given me a strong sense of personal responsibility and professionalism.
