I always had an interest in computers, so when ASVAB testing confirmed my aptitude with Information Technology, I was grateful to be assigned to work as a Cyber Systems Administrator.• Based off my eagerness to learn, Air Force Leadership quickly counted on me to perform mission-essential tasks such as: implementing updates while following backup procedures, and engineering temporary solutions to ensure Mission/Team success.• After being identified by Leadership as one of the more knowledgeable technicians in my work center, I quickly became the Technical Lead and was called upon to take on special assignments for real-world missions, provide operational input for the development of future technologies, and to engineer solutions to IT-related problems. For example: we had an incident where sensor data was vulnerable to leakage due to a software misconfiguration, which I identified and promptly implemented a solution for.• While on deployment, I was awarded for leading a 4-member team with diverse skillsets from multiple career fields to develop a script that automated daily tasks resulting in $35k saved and 11k files consolidated to fit on a network storage location, ensuring a 3-year record keeping requirement.• During my final year in service, I was open and Agile at being able to take on additional responsibilities. I was proud to be called upon to teach members of my Team to help maintain continuity and mission success in the organization after my departure.
