Utilities Operations at REFAP - Canoas/RS, focusing on safety, operational continuity, and optimization of electrical power generation. Most of the activities were developed at the Integrated Control Center - thermal and electrical systems.Main Activities:- Monitoring and control of thermoelectric generation and electrical power distribution at REFAP;- Operation of industrial boilers, gas turbine with heat recovery, steam turbo-generators, and a process-coupled turbo-generator;- Management of over 40 electrical power distribution substations and their respective UPS systems;- Control of the exchange with the regional electricity utility (import/export);- Support in the implementation of optimization systems: Advanced Control (CAV) and Real-time Optimization (RTO).Additional Activities:- Analysis of operational data, in collaboration with colleagues and leaderships, aiming to quantify the performance of equipment and systems in the Utilities sector;- Development of mathematical models for the representation of thermoelectric processes, in real time, with a focus on optimizing energy conversion;- Assessment of a thermal system, concerning multivariate modeling, sensitivity analysis, and simulation.Skills developed: teamwork; technical communication; systemic view of processes; operational data analysis; logical and critical evaluation of equipment, systems, and events; continuous learning.

Researcher on Energy Engineering, with publications in relevant international journals.Experience in the following topics related to photovoltaic solar energy: device characterization, system design, operational performance analysis, model development, and simulation.Period 2020-2024: PhD in photovoltaic solar energy, obtaining a degree from Unisinos (Brazil) and Université de Corse (France). Development of international experimental research, focusing on the performance analysis of different photovoltaic technologies. Thesis scope: photovoltaic module characterization, experimental system design, simulation, experimental data processing (filtering and aggregation), sensitivity analysis, and multivariate modeling.Developed skills: teamwork; scientific communication; English and French languages; research development; data analysis; independent, analytical, and creative thinking; international scientific publications; teaching; continuous learning.

Period 2018-2020: Master's in photovoltaic solar energy. Development of mathematical models to describe the electrical behavior of photovoltaic modules as a function of operating conditions. Partnership with the Université de Corse (France) for obtaining experimental data.

Electrical engineer intern - Laboratório de Pesquisas em Energia Solar Fotovoltaica. Main activities:- Design of an electronic hardware for a solar irradiance meter, to condition the signal from a PV sensor and send it to a microcontroller board, which also performs temperature correction for the measurements. This meter integrates the Photovoltaic Research and Teaching Platform, which is under development at the Solar Energy Laboratory at Unsinos.- Improvements in the I-V Curve Tracer (developed in 2016): design and construction of an electronic board to give the I-V tracer auto-range capability. - Integration of the I-V Curve Tracer to the Photovoltaic Research and Teaching Platform.- Production of a manuscript: Construction of an I-V Curve Tracer for a Photovoltaic Research and Teaching Platform. Published in March 2018.- Teamwork with other researchers and students.

Final year projects supervisor. The most relevant works were related to electronic instrumentation applied to healthcare. These projects were awarded prizes in international scientific events: Mostratec, Febrace and SBPC (Brazil) and Castic (China).-Cardiac Signals Monitoring Tool for the ST-segment Elevation Myocardial Infarction Detection: The monitoring tool was created to detect an unusual cardiac signal related to the myocardial infarction and to alert a medical unit. It was an embedded system with digital electronic filters, and the framework was developed with the C language.-Body Hydratation Monitor: This study approaches the difficulty in identifying the right moment to make the body's hydration during physical activities or exercises involving a steady increase in body temperature. Therefore, a portable device in shape similar to a wristwatch was developed to monitor the user's temperature, via a sensor positioned on the skin. Based on the temperature variation during the physical activity, it alerts the user for the right moment to make the fluid reposition.Electronics and Electric Circuits laboratory instructor: DC and AC circuits, energy storage elements, rectifiers, regulators, and voltage/current sources.
