Including a month long project at a local school, working to test all of their outlets, lighting, screens and other technology, and working in unison with their tech provider to ensure the best outcome, also to fix and improve any faults we found. A major part of this role was follow health and safety regulations at all times. This is true for any job but in this it was absolutely crucial. Not only were we working with exposed wires, in which there is always risk, we were often required to work at heights in which case safety has to take top priority. The most common job we would go to would be to wire from the consumer unit to their electrical appliances. This would most often include lighting, outlets, ovens (and other kitchen equipment), boilers and sometimes even electrically run showers and underfloor heating. I also have experience in replacing and fitting a new consumer unit that complies with up to date regulations. I think a real highlight in this role for me was to fit a new intercom system within a school. This was a very new experience and I ran this as a solo job so tot complete successfully was very fulfilling. I had to install new data cables and also set up the system for the faculty. I received great feedback when I called to check in a week later so I was very proud of this. Show less

Whilst the job in question seems fairly self explanatory there were many standards I kept myself to. These included taking care with orders to improve customer service and avoid disappointment. Along with this also ensuring to be considerate of other road users and not solely focusing on the time restraints put in place but instead keeping it at a reasonable balance whilst successful completing my targets.
