Part of the Innovation Office at Nexa Resources that aims to develop disruptive projects regarding decarbonization, circular economy, digital transformation, and positive legacy generation through innovation platforms (Mining Lab platform) and other innovation enablers.Responsibilities:• Develop and implement projects in Brazil and Peru that are part of the Nexa’s decarbonization Roadmap to achieve 2030 climate change commitments, that reduce carbon emissions more than 50 kt/year.• Lead a team focused on developing and implementing disruptive portfolio of decarbonization projects: - Bio-oil development in ZnO Furnaces; - Development of biogenic solid fuels for recycling furnaces - Bio-briquettes; - Hydrogen Injection in Diesel Vehicles; - Sustainable mobility (Electric vehicles for mining, biogas biofuels –biogas, hydrogen technologies, biomass-to-liquids, gas-to-liquids) among others.• Management and execution of R&D projects at all stages, from ideation to industrial implementation, with a focus on ESG.• Create strategies to foster innovation development such as carbon credit commercialization: - Part of the team responsible for Nexa’s first carbon credits surplus sale.• Development of business models with start-ups and technology-based companies• Feeding new projects into the decarbonization Roadmap and prioritize them in the company's annual budget• Representation of company in technical forums and events.• Prepared project documents and report project progress and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to the board.

The projects of R&D Energy Office aims to reduce the company's costs and greenhouse emissions, contributes to a higher level of sustainability in it's operations and also promote local communities development.Responsibilities:• Responsible for R&D projects development in energy flexibility with alternative fuels to reduce costs and greenhouse and project leader during the industrial tests: - Bio-oil development in ZnO Furnaces; - Hydrogen Injection in Diesel Vehicles; - Electric vehicles for mining, among others.• Conceptual engineering development and support in the basic engineering, detailed engineering and implementation stages of R&D projetcs.• Start-up mentoring.• Technical economic analysis of renewable energy projects.• Financial risk modeling.• Created new arrangements and business models for the projects deployment, such as leasing, outsourcing, "as service", third partiers, local supply chain development, etc., in order to increase the deployment rate and minimize the risks.• Prepared project documents and report project progress and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to the board.

The projects of R&D Energy Office aims to reduce the company's cash cost, contributes to a higher level of sustainability in it's operations and also promote local communities development.Responsibilities:• Promoted the renewable energy integration into the Nexa's processes by the use of alternative fuels, energy generation and storage.• Fostered the circular economy through the residues, and local wastes (from the company and also local communities) and biomass transformation in energy.• Created new arrangements and business models for the projects deployment, such as leasing, outsourcing, "as service", third partiers, local supply chain development, etc., in order to to increase the deployment rate and minimize the risks.• Elaborated projects plan concerning to capital raising (refundable and non-refundable) with public and private institutions (whenever is appropriate).• Searched for those whom have expertise and know how on the open innovation environment to develop new ideas and projects, regardless if it's a startup, small or large company, university researchers, etc.• Turned an idea into a project and develop from the Proof of Concept (PoC) until the industrial test (whenever is required) applying tools such as CANVAS, papers and reports, Feasibility Analysis of Investiment (FAI), lean methodologies, risk evaluation• Proposed new ideas and projects align with the strategic objectives of Innovation Department from meetings, conferences, workshops, brainstorms, papers, etc.• Prepared project documents and report project progress and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to the board.
