Solutions Architect
Almost one year in, I feel very proud of myself to get here. This is the first global company I have the pleasure to be associated to. The journey has been challenging, full of new experiences, and most importantly, very rewarding. As of now, my main responsibilites are:- Serve as the primary technologist for the sales team and a trusted technical advisor to customers;- Lead the technical conversation, explaining the ways in which Red Hat’s portfolio and architected solutions address the customer’s business and requirements;- Demonstrate and discuss how the use of the Red Hat portfolio to solve problems/use cases for both self managed and hosted Red Hat offerings, with applicability to the customer's infrastructure and application architectures;- Work closely with the interns of my team, helping them to develop themselves both technically and with their soft-skills;
Cyber Threat Intelligence Coordinator
So far, this was one of the most important turning points of my career. Not only because I became completely financially independent from my parents ( living away from home is expensive :) ) but specially because I learned very valuable things, such as:1. Coming from a heavily technical background I had unexplored communication skills;2. The ability to understand what "adding value" means to a business;3. The importance of people;After successfully and repeatedly adding value in different ways (automating manual tasks, optimizing processes, being critical in many closed-won deals from a pre-sales and technical stand-point, etc.), as the company was growing fast, the board of directors decided to promote me as coordinator and gave me a team to manage. Being so young and unexperienced, that was a quite fun challenge.During that time, my main achievements/activities were:- Managed the Threat Intelligence Team in the company's main product;- Carried out training, pre-sales presentations, PoCs and PoVs with customers, to both technical and c-level audience in customers of many different sizes and industries;- In a technical role, actively participated and helped book many new deals. The company grew 300% in the full length of the time I was there;- Carried out OSINT Investigations with Apura's customers;- Wrote C-Level reports;- Responsible for analyzing and filtering new sources of information (like darkweb foruns, whatsapp groups, and many other sources) to be used by the team in their research;
Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst
After taking all the mandatory courses of my academic program, I decided I wanted to learn new stuff. Up to this point, I had already developed strong foundational knowledge with both programming and networking so this is how I got into cyber security.Apura was a small/medium size company with a very well-known good reputation among its customers.During that time, my main achievements/activities were:- Worked as an analyst in their own Threat Intelligence Plataform (focused on OSINT);- Engaged and helped customers in found threats (any kind, any source);- Wrote reports/full-analysis;- Developed many data-analysis python dashboards that were later used in customers reports;- Helped to train the internal team and the newly-hired people to the use of the platform and Apura's internal processes;
System Administrator
Two thirds of my degree in, the university was getting harder and requiring many hours of study, so I decided to take a break of startups for awhile and return to my very first job (which was located inside the campus) so that I could spend most of my energy studying.During that time, my main achievements/activities were:- Managed a System Center HA Cluster comprised of 32 physical servers and over 100 virtual machines;- Built many CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD tool to host applications (both traditional and containerized) that were developed internally by the research projects;- Automated part of the infrastructure and daily tasks using SaltStack;- Monitored the applications and network using the ELK + Zabbix stack;- Managed web servers such as Nginx and Apache;
System Administrator
Eventually the team had some changes and I ended up as both a back-end developer and as a system administrator.During that time, my main achievements/activities were:- Managed a VMWare ESXI enviroment;- Managed all services, backups and networking assets of the company;- Installed and configured a pfSense deployment along with an intra-net only VPN access;
Back-End Developer
After returning to Brazil, I decided I wanted to professionally improve my programming skills. So I started to work in a brazilian technology startup in the real estate market. The company is no longer operating but back then they had a promising product. The tech team was no bigger than 5 people, but we created some very professional code nevertheless. During that time, my main achievements/activities were:- Back-end python coding using Tornado async web-framework;- Created integrations with more than 20 companies with real estate market data to populate our internal databases;- PostgreSQL (w/ PostGIS) and MongoDB database management/development;- Built CI/CD Pipelines;
Embbeded Software Developer
At that time, I was living in Canada in a brazilian government funded exchange program called Science Without Borders (SWB). The whole program lasted 16 months in which I had the opportunity not only to study in one of their universities, but also to enroll in a summer internship in one of the many companies/startups in my field of study.Back then, I was somewhat passionate about hardware and electronics so I applied in a startup developing some VR hardware. It was a very short amount of time but great to see/learn the steps involved in the creation of a new product.During that time, my main achievements/activities were:- Greatly improved my English and communication skills;- C/C++ embbeded software;- Developed some low-level wireless communication firmware (mainly BLE);- Developed some Unity (yes, the game Engine) modules;
System Administrator
This was my first working experience and was done as I was starting my engineering bachelor degree. Even though it was somewhat challenging to balance my full-time degree with my work at LATITUDE, this opened up many others opportunities later on and sedimeted most of the things I was learning in classes.There I worked with very talented people and learned many things about Operating Systems (mainly Linux), Network Protocols, Security and SRE. During that time, my main achievements/activities were:- Managed a System Center HA Cluster comprised of 32 physical servers and over 100 virtual machines;- Built many CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD tool to host applications that were developed internally by the research projects;- Automated part of the infrastructure and daily tasks using SaltStack;- Monitored the applications and network using the ELK + Zabbix stack;- Managed web servers such as Nginx and Apache;
