As the Regional VP for HealthTeacher, I managed a remote team of Health Education Coordinators in the Western half of the US. I built partnerships with healthcare organizations, presented at Board of Directors meetings, wrote and developed lessons and programs, facilitated internal professional development opportunities for staff and participated on the Education Senior Leadership team.
At the Oregon Department of Education, I supported K-12 Health Education in Oregon. I helped to facilitate a statewide committee to develop Oregon's K-12 health education content standards, and implement a Whole School, Whole Community, Whole Child approach with schools, districts and and public health partners.I was selected to work on the National Health Education Standards content panel during this time.
