Bringers of the Dawn was a spectacular, ecologically oriented theatre piece involving over a hundred contributors from the Blue Mountains and beyond. Bringing together people from seven years old to seventy, from diverse, including indigenous, cultural backgrounds, people with disabilities, and professional dancers, musicians and performers, it was an event like no other.Set in a barren compound inhabited by a young girl and the Spectrum, 7 colourful clown-like creatures, the story takes place in a post apocalyptic world. We are taken on an extraordinary journey of self-discovery and redemption as the Spectrum attempt to rebuild society from scratch. Along the way they encounter Mother Earth, Father Sky, a geni, a herald, a mystical yogi, a troupe of belly dancers and a tribe of storytelling dancers and musicians, all of whom act as agents of transformation - as Bringers of the Dawn.Bringers of the Dawn honoured the values of world heritage, sustainability and social evolution causing its audiences to reflect upon the world they most wish to create whilst inspiring them to act boldly in doing so.
