Post’r Girls is a womxn owned and operated social enterprise providing sound and music services for film, TV, and media, and duly operates as a teaching studio, with a core emphasis on technical education and career mentorship. Post’r Girls also designs and implements free community programs geared towards providing advocacy, education, and career-training services to womxn in production and post-production sound and music in order to hone their skills and elevate their voices. Our mission is to lend our efforts to the rising intersectional power movement in the film industry by creating a supportive, inclusive community for womxn sound professionals—one that would allow them to pool their resources and skills, leverage their collective bargaining power both on set and in the studio, and most importantly, champion cooperation and mentorship rather than exploitation and gatekeeping. We plan to create strategic partnerships with similarly-missioned organizations fighting for justice and parity amongst all minority populations in the entertainment industry in order to make it a safe and equitable environment for everyone.
