My role with Cooneen at Work has been fast-paced and pressurised, as I have often managed numerous tender submissions simultaneously while maintaining existing customer accounts. I work on Adobe Illustrator and InDesign to create product illustrations and specifications, detailing information such as the garment features, functionality, colour schemes, sizing, packaging, bills of materials and testing requirements. I oversee product development from start to finish, by understanding customer requirements, reviewing prototypes and developing products from flat CADs to physical garments.

While working for Cooneen Defence, I assisted in the development of uniforms for police and military personnel by ensuring all products were fit for purpose, and that fabrics and trims conformed to the stringent technical requirements. My position also included analysing and responding to customer feedback and amending garment specifications to improve functionality.

At Douglas & Grahame, I designed extensive shirt and tie ranges for independent menswear brands Remus Uomo, Douglas, Daniel Grahame and Drifter. I also developed, boyswear suiting ranges and schoolwear with 1880 Club. I took inspiration from each season’s trends while keeping the brand’s identities in mind. I researched first-hand and selected fabric and trims at trade shows such as Première Vision Paris, Texworld Paris, Munich Fabric Start and Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics. Dealing with suppliers at the source was a great experience for me as a new designer. The design process involved visiting shirt and tie factories in Istanbul and Düsseldorf to ensure the ranges were completed to the high standard that D&G are known for. For each seasonal launch, I created range books for each brand for the sales representatives, comprising of product CADs, fabric information and swatches.
