Assisted in the set-up and maintain of laboratory of Dr. Yariv Houvras, studying genetic and epigenetic regulation of melanoma and thyroid cancer. Maintain current protocols for both animal and general lab practices. Perform independent research, as well as, assist other laboratory members and collaborators. Optimized emerging epigenetic assays for use in our research studies using Illumina sequencing, NextGen platform. Perform in vivo, as well as, cellular and molecular assays. Worked directly with clinicians, patients, and research other research staff to maintain accurate documentation, evaluations, and treatment schedules as required by each protocol of the twenty plus active trials. Involved in characterization of a zebrafish model of melanoma developed in the lab.
