Mechanical engineer for multiple sub-orbital platforms including: balloons, aircraft, sounding rockets, and smallsats/cubesats. Focus in design of structures, and have experience with analysis, manufacturing, assembly, environmental testing, and field experience. Highlights Include:• Designed a coarse azimuth pointing system specifically for 5.5K lb suspended scientific balloon payloads. Design is an approved U.S. Patent.• Collaborated with multidisciplinary engineers to create and evaluate feasibility of smallsat/cubesat mission proposals through the WFF Mission Planning Lab (MPL) & GSFC Mission Design Lab (MDL).• Supported multiple evolve the workforce groups throughout Goddard and Wallops. Through the Engineering Technology Directorate (ETD) Transformation Strategy Team for Workforce, I led a sub-team to create an Onboarding Orientation for new employees. I also supported planning and led a retreat for ETD early career (EC) employees in 2019 & 2020 and aided in creating an ETD EC Committee in 2021. As a member of WFF-GBLT Action Team #13, I led an early career retreat in 2021 for contractor and civil workforce to create an actionable list of next steps for senior leadership to reduce burnout and improve professional development opportunities.
