In this position I track current legislation and amendments moving through the congressional process, attend congressional hearings/markups and other policy events, summarize policy debates, prepare meeting and presentation materials, formulate responses to questions and requests for information from external partner organizations and individuals, research and provide input on issues related to our client's needs, conduct research and track state, local, and federal legislation, assist in business development opportunities, and provide general administrative office support as needed.

I provide personalized tutoring and reading support to elementary school students in underprivileged areas, aiming to contribute to bridging the education gap.

I interned for Delegate Holly Seibold at the Fairfax County Democratic Committee's office. In this role, I actively engaged in problem-solving by analyzing issues and collaborating with teams to devise effective solutions. I demonstrated strong organizational skills by sorting and arranging files, spreadsheets, and reports. Additionally, I dedicated time to professional development, participating in workshops and presentations to enhance my skill set relevant to the position. My responsibilities also included direct customer interaction through various channels, including phone, email, and in-person, ensuring the provision of accurate and helpful information.

In this role, I attended meetings, diligently recorded crucial details and discussions, and drafted various communications. I managed the counting and organization of campaign donations, utilizing a digital database to track data. Additionally, I contributed to the creation of promotional materials by developing graphics for brochures, flyers, and posters. My responsibilities extended to engaging with constituents through canvassing, phone banking, and voter registration at local colleges. Even after the internship concluded, I continued to provide support by organizing sign deliveries, representing the Congressman at parades, and assisting in setting up fundraisers.
