• Perform routine processing of laboratory specimens • Operate and maintain Diasorin Liaison XL, Abbott Architect, Siemens BNII, Roche Cobas c501 Chemistry Analyzer, Clinitek Advantus, Osmometer, ABL90 Flex Blood Gas Analyzers, DCA Vantage and Centrifuges • Perform, interpret, monitor and troubleshoot quality control on equipment and analyzers • Participate in External Quality Assurance Programs, such as CAP and IQMH • Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with IQMH standards and identify areas of improvement in processes • Participate in weekly/monthly inventory of supplies and reagents and order supplies as required • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment

• Responsible for routine maintenance and troubleshooting of malfunctioning equipment • Perform quality control, patient correlation and calibration on all equipment and supplies. • Maintain records of inventory, QC, operator competency/training, and equipment records • Provide training and recertification presentations to operators of Point of Care instruments and ensure protocols are followed through regular competency testing • Update protocols and procedures for Point of Care testing and maintain Interdisciplinary manuals and document control program to ensure compliance with IQMH standards • Complete monthly Quality Assurance reports to ensure operator competency, accurate use of instruments and verification of patient identification • Monitor Quality Control testing and verify appropriate QC is performed according to set schedules

• Perform routine processes including embedding, cutting and staining • Follow standard procedures to ensure quality • Perform daily, weekly and annual maintenance on equipment • Assist with the implementation of new processes, including method development, validation and procedure development • Safety Officer of Pathology Department, responsible for updating and maintaining SDS sheets, monitoring eyewash stations, inspecting, cleaning and stocking respirators, participate in annual safety manual review, attend meetings to address safety concerns
